But I’m skipping the endless greatest hits and compilations because this guy has a LOT of albums. Today, I’m finally doing what many of you thought would never happen – ranking all of Pac’s albums (yes, including the posthumous releases and collabo albums) from bottom to top. Pac the human being was a deeply complex individual and I have undying respect for his willingness to raise social awareness in his music.Īnd even an ol’ hater like me can’t deny this simple truth – 2pac is THE most influential rapper of all time. While I stand by my views of his latter-day antics and I still push back against some of the GOAT claims, that’s just my take on Pac the rapper. O’er the years (as the hymnists would say), I’ve been pretty vocal about my criticisms of 2pac the artist – but never Tupac Shakur the man.
I know, I know if you’re a longtime Soul In Stereo reader, I’m sure you’re asking yourself that question right now – for good reason.
